Now that you've completed your interview with us and received the green light, it's time for the final step: your interview with the company you'll be working for. You'll visit your future workplace, meet your manager, and get a feel for the job and the team. If it's a match, you're hired! We'll collect the remaining documents, prepare your contract, and get everything ready so you can start as soon as possible.

It depends on your nationality. If you are from the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you can work in the Netherlands without a work permit. If you are a non-EU/EEA student with a Dutch student residence permit, your employer normally needs to arrange a work permit (TWV) for you.
With a Dutch student residence permit, you can choose between working a maximum of 16 hours per week throughout the year or working full-time during June, July and August. Your employer must have a valid TWV for you.
You should be able to prove your identity and that you are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands. Depending on your situation, you may need your passport or ID, BSN and, for non-EU/EEA students, your valid residence permit. Additional information may be requested during the onboarding process.
For jobs where a TWV is required, the work permit must be applied for by the employer. Brave Ones works with international students and understands the paperwork involved in hiring non-EU/EEA students.
No. Our vacancies for international students are English-speaking, so you do not need to speak Dutch to apply. Learning Dutch can still be useful for increasing your future job opportunities in the Netherlands.
EU/EEA and Swiss students do not have the student-visa working-hour restriction. However, Non-EU/EEA students with a Dutch study residence permit can only work full-time as an employee during June, July and August if they choose the summer-work option and their employer has arranged a TWV.
Yes. Non-EU students with a Dutch study residence permit may work as self-employed persons without a TWV, as long as they continue to meet the requirements of their student residence permit. Different rules apply to employment with an employer.
