HOW TO make your cv stands out

1. Include a Photo

It’s common to include a professional photo at the beginning of a Dutch CV. Select a high-quality photo with a plain background. This exclude selfies.

2. Personal Information

Mention your contact information including home address, LinkedIn account, educational background, extra courses that are relevant to the roles, including your thesis when relevant.

3. Objective Statement

Craft a specific objective statement describing your career aspirations and suitability for the position. Briefly mention how this role can help you achieve your objective.

4. Work/organizational experiences

Briefly elaborate your experiences in bullet points. Previous work experiences, such as internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work by shortly including accomplishments and responsibilities on every experience

If you have some ideas about the roles you’re aiming for, it’s best to refer to the job listing and highlight relevant experiences and qualities that are listed.

5. Skills

Indicate language proficiency, computer skills, and relevant certifications or courses.

6. Update your LinkedIn account
